Privacy Policy
Ahar Ltd respects personal information and is committed to handling it in a responsible, transparent, and security-conscious way.
This Privacy Policy explains how Ahar Ltd may access, collect, use, store, share, and protect personal information when people use the Ahar Customer App, Ahar website, place orders, manage subscriptions, request support, communicate with the company, or otherwise interact with Ahar services.
Ahar Ltd aims to keep its food, service, and digital experience trustworthy, including how personal information is handled across customer, support, operational, and business processes.

Location Information
The Ahar Customer App may request access to a customer's approximate or precise current device location when the customer actively chooses a feature such as Use Current Location and grants permission.
Customers may also search for or manually select a location instead of using their device's current location.
A selected service location and a full delivery address are different types of information.
A selected service location, such as an area or place, may be used to determine whether Ahar services are available and to identify kitchens or services available near that location.
A full delivery address contains the information needed to identify the actual place where an order should be delivered.
The Ahar Customer App does not use device location for background location tracking or location-based advertising.
3. How Information Is Used
Ahar Ltd may use personal information for purposes such as:
- Creating and managing customer accounts
- Authenticating customers and maintaining account access
- Processing orders and subscriptions
- Arranging and completing deliveries
- Confirming meal plans, delivery windows, or service preferences
- Determining whether Ahar service is available at or near a selected location
- Finding or displaying kitchens and services relevant to a selected location
- Converting customer-authorised device coordinates into a readable place, area, or location where location functionality requires it
- Supporting location search and place-selection functionality
- Helping customers select appropriate service locations and delivery information
- Responding to support requests, feedback, or complaints
- Improving website, app, and service experience
- Maintaining operational and financial records
- Administering payments and related service activity
- Preventing fraud, misuse, or unauthorised activity
- Protecting the safety, security, and reliability of services
- Meeting legal, regulatory, or recordkeeping obligations
- Communicating important service updates, policy changes, or operational notices
Where food quality, hygiene handling, delivery coordination, customer care, service-area checking, or customer-requested location functionality requires the use of relevant customer information, Ahar Ltd may use that information in a proportionate and controlled way.
4. Legal Basis for Using Personal Information
Where applicable, Ahar Ltd may rely on one or more of the following bases for using personal information:
- Performance of a contract or service request
- Legitimate business and operational interests
- Compliance with legal or regulatory obligations
- Customer consent, where consent is the appropriate basis
- Protection of important safety, security, or fraud-prevention interests where relevant
Where device permission or customer choice is required for a particular feature, such as accessing current device location, the app will request the relevant permission or action before using that functionality.
5. Sharing of Information
Ahar Ltd may share or make personal information available to third parties only where reasonably necessary for service delivery, operations, compliance, security, or a customer-requested feature.
This may include:
- Payment service providers
- Technology vendors or hosting providers
- Delivery personnel or delivery coordination partners
- Customer support tools or communication platforms
- Authentication providers where a customer chooses a supported third-party sign-in method
- Mapping, location-search, place-lookup, or geocoding service providers where location functionality is requested
- Analytics or service-performance providers where applicable
- Legal, regulatory, or professional advisers where required
- Other processors or partners supporting Ahar services
For example, where the Ahar Customer App uses mapping, place-search, or geocoding services such as Google Maps Platform services, relevant location coordinates, place searches, or location-related information may be processed by those providers as necessary to provide the requested location functionality.
Where information is shared or processed through service providers, Ahar Ltd should aim to use only the information reasonably required for the relevant purpose.
6. Data Retention
Ahar Ltd may keep different categories of personal information for different periods depending on:
- Order and subscription history
- Support or complaint handling needs
- Legal or financial recordkeeping requirements
- Dispute resolution
- Fraud prevention
- Security monitoring
- Operational continuity
The company should retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose, legal obligation, security requirement, or legitimate business need, and should review retention practices periodically.
Where an account-deletion request is completed, information associated with the account should be deleted or anonymised unless limited information must reasonably be retained for purposes such as legal compliance, financial recordkeeping, fraud prevention, security, or dispute resolution.
7. User Rights, Account Deletion, and Requests
Where applicable, users may contact Ahar Ltd to request:
- Access to their personal information
- Correction of inaccurate information
- Deletion of information where appropriate
- Restriction of certain processing
- Objection to certain uses of information
- Transfer of information where applicable and operationally feasible
- Help with privacy concerns or complaints
Customers who create an account through the Ahar Customer App may request deletion of their account and associated personal information.
A customer may start an account-deletion request through the account-deletion option provided within the Ahar Customer App or through Ahar's designated account-deletion resource on the Ahar website.
Ahar Ltd may take reasonable steps to verify the identity of the person making an account-deletion or privacy request before processing it.
Following a valid account-deletion request, Ahar Ltd should delete or anonymise information associated with the account except where limited retention is reasonably required for legal, regulatory, financial, fraud-prevention, security, or dispute-resolution purposes.
Ahar Ltd should review privacy and deletion requests in line with its actual legal obligations, operational capability, and reasonable verification measures needed to protect customer information.
8. Location Permissions and Customer Choice
Access to device location is not required merely to create an account or browse every part of the Ahar Customer App.
Where current-location functionality is offered, customers may choose whether to use it.
If a customer chooses Use Current Location, the operating system may ask the customer to grant location permission.
If permission is not granted, the customer may use available manual location-search or location-selection options where supported.
Location permission is used for customer-facing location functionality while the app is being used. The Ahar Customer App does not request or use background location tracking for this purpose.
A customer may change location permission through their device settings.
9. Cookies, Analytics, and Tracking Tools
If the Ahar Ltd website or app uses cookies, analytics tools, or similar technologies, the company should explain:
- What tools are used
- Why they are used
- Whether they are essential or optional
- What choices users have
- How users can manage cookie settings where applicable
These tools may be used for purposes such as website functionality, performance monitoring, service analysis, user-experience improvement, fraud prevention, and business insight.
Where non-essential cookies or similar technologies are used, Ahar Ltd should ensure the live website handles notice and consent appropriately.
Device location obtained for Ahar Customer App service-location functionality is not used for location-based advertising.
10. Data Security and Responsible Handling
Ahar Ltd takes reasonable steps to protect personal information from unauthorised access, misuse, loss, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
These steps may include appropriate technical, administrative, and operational safeguards suited to the size and nature of the business.
While no website, app, platform, or digital service can guarantee absolute security, Ahar Ltd aims to handle information with care and maintain security-conscious processes across its website, Customer App, support systems, and operational services.
11. Third-Party Links and Services
The website or app may contain or interact with third-party platforms, payment tools, authentication services, mapping or location services, social media services, or partner services.
Where customers interact with or use functionality provided through third-party services, relevant information may also be processed according to the privacy practices and terms applicable to those providers.
Ahar Ltd encourages users to review relevant third-party privacy information where appropriate.
12. Children's Privacy
Ahar Ltd's services are not intended for children.
The company does not knowingly collect personal information from children except where lawfully and operationally appropriate.
13. Policy Updates
Ahar Ltd may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in legal requirements, technology, operational processes, security practices, Google Play or platform requirements, or service design.
The latest published version on the Ahar website should be treated as the current governing version.
Ahar Ltd should keep the Privacy Policy presented through the Ahar Customer App materially aligned with the latest published website version.
The effective date and most recent update date should be shown clearly.
